To Quote Dr. Seuss...

On January first, I received this email from Mike Dooley's Notes From the Universe:

Lisa, can you believe it’s already January?

That it’s Wednesday again?

That as you read these very words, somewhere in the world there are waves crashing, eagles soaring, lilacs blooming, and friends laughing so hard tears are streaming down their faces?

That your life has been changing so swiftly?

That your new joyful and financially successful art business came so quickly?

That peace, love, and happiness are flourishing around the world?

Yeah, Lisa, I thought you would.

When someone signs up for this email list, they're asked to enter a goal. The highlighted words are what I entered... back in 2016! At that time my husband and I wanted to create a new life for ourselves so we did a Google search for the lifestyle we wanted, quit our jobs, sold our home in Massachusetts, and moved to Chattanooga, TN. We didn't know a soul or have any connections, so we were starting over from scratch.

Since then, it's been a long and winding road, with several cross-country moves, Kevin and I starting a home renovation business, my mom passing away, and my foray into the world of art festivals. There has been a lot of love and laughter and just as many fears and tears. But reading the email above was a wake-up call. Can you believe we are here in 2025?

And I ACTUALLY HAVE my joyful and financially successful art business?!! To quote How the Grinch Stole Christmas, "IT CAME! Somehow or other, it came just the same!"

"Welcome 2025 while we stand heart to heart and hand in hand." Happy New Year to you all!

Thank you to everyone who reads this. Thank you to everyone who has bought one of my prints or paintings. Thank you to everyone who simply tells me how much they like my work.
